Well Pump and Well Water testing:

Does your new home have a private well?
There could be health risks involved…The EPA does not regulate water supply from private wells. This means you should have your water tested regularly to ensure your safety. We offer a stand alone service to collect and have water tested at a lab. This will test for many contaminants and meet VA and FHA requirements on your loan. A pump test will check high and low shut off points and GPM that the well can produce. We will run the pump for several cycles and check its performance.

Termite Inspection:

Termites can cause severe damage to your home, often hidden from the homeowner. Termites primarily feed on wood and are capable of compromising the strength and safety of any infested structure. We will set-up an inspection with a licensed NC termite inspector and deliver reports to the purchaser.

Radon Gas Analysis

Radon is a radioactive gas that occurs naturally. It is tasteless, odorless and colorless. Radon is produced from the breakdown of uranium in the soil, rock and water. There are several methods of testing radon in your home. We use electronic radon testing to give you a timely and accurate reading at the time of inspection. The electronic test takes 48 hours and requires guidelines to be followed. Radon is present in nearly all soils and a homeowner should not be alarmed at the presence of certain levels. There are levels of radon that are considered harmful and our test can help the buyer be aware of the level and consider mitigation to reduce the levels.

Septic Inspections:

Properly working septic tanks is critical to your homes plumbing system, full tanks, clogged drain field, saturated field, and root infiltration to name a few. Any of these issues can lead to costly repairs, replacing a septic system can cost anywhere between $3,000. and $15,000. We will coordinate an inspection by a NC licensed septic inspector and deliver results of that inspection for you. The inspector will check waste and sludge levels, debris filters, distribution box condition, as well as drain field function and saturation. This service will take the worry of scheduling and follow-up with the septic inspector off your plate and free up time to think about your dream home.

Irrigation System Test:

This system is not included in the North Carolina Home Inspectors Standard of practice and is offered as a separate service.
We will run and test the irrigation system for leaks and broken components in the system. Function of timers and zone coverage of the system. We will recommend and describe any updates required for the system.

Detached building Inspection:

Detached buildings such as sheds are often overlooked in the home purchase. While standards of practice do include attached and detached garages, sheds and outbuildings are excluded.
We will inspect (added Fee) any detached structure up to 350 sqft for structural issues, foundation issues, roofing. and electrical if equipped. The information will be included in the inspection report.
